The direction of cure;case history according to Hering’s Law

4.1) The direction of cure;case history according to Hering’s Law

Psoriasis

Man, 50 years old

For 9 months: skin eczema: itchy, circular, slowly increasing. First, right instep, then left, then right shin, then left, then calves, chest, then forearms, also on the penis.

Cortisone >

Diagn: Psoriasis.

Get a headache from alcohol, even 1 beer is enough

Attacks of gout, repeatedly: takes Allopurinol

Back pain quite often, but not bad

Sinusitis, repeatedly. Can’t dive.

Headaches quite frequently, every 1-2 months, violent, then 3 – 4 days in a row.

Combined with other symptoms, it was a clear case of Lyc to me.

8.2.2010

Prescribed Lycopodium C 1000, 1 dose

15.3.2010:

It’s going well, psoriasis almost gone, much >. Becoming > daily. Headaches clearly >. He felt much better in general, his mood as well.

>>>Wait and see

20.4.10:

(Redness on face). Severe headache, pinching pressure (old symptom). Sinuses get blocked. Headache if weather changes.

High blood pressure: often 140– 150 / 95 – 100. Never had high blood pressure before!

Often pressure on the ears in the evenings. I am down, depressed, empty, have no drive, feel discontented, in a bad mood.

Pain in the knees, as if too fat. Difficulty climbing stairs.

When doing sport, I quickly get exhausted, drained, only 70% of what I normally achieve.

What has happened here?

The superficial symptoms disappeared with Lycopodium, but the disease slipped deeper, and new, deeper symptoms emerged. In homoeopathy, we are talking of suppression. We will have to find a new, more suitable remedy, otherwise this person will not be cured.

If you want to treat and heal the human being as a whole, you have to understand the person with all his mechanisms. Illnesses develop according to clear principles; there are rules, even if we don’t always completely understand them. Healing develops according to the same rules – principles that we can normally understand very well, and which we have to understand very well! As soon as you know this, you can understand what is to be healed and also what the path of healing must be (hence: Predictive Homoeopathy).

Hahnemann already recognised this in homeopathy, and wrote about it in Organon. But Constantin Hering added a very important component to Hahnemann's medicine. Hering recognised how healing had to take place, i.e. he recognised when it was a matter of healing and when it was a matter of the symptoms being suppressed. He used his knowledge to formulate an assertion, which was then incorporated into homoeopathy as Hering’s Law:

4.2) Hering’s Law:

The right course of healing always goes

- from the top to the bottom

- from the inside out

- from the centre towards the periphery

- from the more important organs or organ systems to the less important

- in the reverse order to that in which it occurred

What exactly does that mean?

If a case of allergic asthma is cured and vitiligo develops on the legs, is that healing? From the top (pulmonary alveoli) to the bottom (legs), from the inside (pulmonary alveoli) to the outside (skin)?

Until now, the answers to this were relatively superficial. But Dr. Prafull Vijayakar has succeeded in answering this question with the greatest possible accuracy.

Vijayakar assumed that it must also be possible to explain Hering’s Law in terms of modern medicine. Here, he found parallels to the categories of tissue, which can be traced back to the embryonic tissues. For the sake of clarity, the points listed below are formulated very simply and are not completely in accordance. However, this is a matter of principle. The system – which is sometimes very complicated – can be applied very precisely.
